    the beginning     was just like any normal life for Seojin. Living together with his parents for the beginning few years in gimpo. Seojin's father was, unbeknownst to Seojin and his mother, involved in gang life.
After graduating as a lawyer, Park Jinhyuk made a few bad mistakes at the beginning of his career, which eventually led to him having a run-in with one of the gang's higher-ups. Trying his best to get out of it unscathed, the man made a deal with the gang to be the gang's lawyer for anything that needed to be done. This meant defending the vilest humans and the crimes they had committed.He managed to keep it hidden from both Seojin and his mother, using the excuse of having to move closer to work as an excuse for the family to move and settle down in a house close to Itaewon in Seoul when Seojin was just 5 years old.Except for the change of scenery, little to nothing changed for Seojin. He managed to make some friends, finding his footing very easily within the community.    seojin's father     , however, was struggling more than he wanted to admit at times. Having to keep his work for the gang a secret from his family was proving to be difficult. If things were looking dire in a court case, members of the gang would begin to patrol the area where they lived, sometimes striking up a conversation with Seojin as his father was right in view to see what was happening, adding to the enormous pressure of being the best at his job that he could be.Seojin’s father managed to keep the charade going for a good 7 years before eventually making a third mistake, which would prove to be his last. While defending the brother of the gang leader, who was on trial for murder, his father had not managed to get him acquitted. The gang had enough, especially with the third case ruined being such an important one.The family had to die.One night, as Seojin's parents were driving home from dinner, they were ambushed by members of the gang. His mother was killed instantly, and his father died on the way to the hospital. It was made to look like an accident so that no one would suspect foul play.

Seojin was unharmed, as he was lucky enough to have gone home with his best friend and their parents and did not hear the news until the next morning. Before the end of the week, he was shipped off to the south of the country by child protective services to find a new family that would raise him.
He ended up in Daegu, being brought into a family with six kids, and Seojin hated it from the start. A twelve-year-old who was used to being the only one with his parents suddenly had to deal with the grief of using his family and being delved into a family that was loud and active.It was there that his fascination for books only grew more and more. Seojin would often hide in his room with a book or find somewhere quiet around the house and hide there to read away. The stories carried him to a different place. A life where he was a king, or a life where he was still with family and the friends he had made back up north.    everything was a facade.     The longer he stayed there, the more he grew accustomed to the yelling of the father, the crying of the mother, and the anger of the kids.Seojin lasted there for almost four years. Until the father decided that Seojin had done something so bad that he deserved punishment. That night, Seojin packed his bags and disappeared from the family, and he set out on a mission to go back up north, using most of the little money he had to get a train ticket and disappear.Disappearing, he did. He found his way back to the friends he had made, some of whom had not forgotten him, even though it had been four years.TO BE FINISHED
